Specification of Transmitted and Reflected light Trinocular Polarizing Microscope
Optical System: UCIS infinity independent achromatic optical system
Viewing head: Siedentopf Trinocular head 30° inclined, rotatable 360°, interpupillary distance 52-75mm, supplied with wide-field (30mm diameter ocular tubes) 10x/20 high eye-point oculars
Objectives: Infinity corrected strain-free (Pol)Plan achromatic objectives 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x (oil immersion)
Magnification: with supplied optics 40x – 1000x
Focus system: Low positioned, coaxial coarse & fine focusing system with an adjustable tension control and upper limit stop, coarse 14mm/rot, fine 0.1mm/rot, minimum reading 1μm on left-side fine knob, moving range 20mm
Nosepiece: Quadruple, reversed type with positive click stops, RMS threaded Objective mounts where each individual objective can be centred with centring tools provided
Condenser: Flip-top type NA=1.25 / 0.90 with Iris Diaphragm
Stage: Circular Rotating stage, size 142mm diameter, 360° rotatable with graduations every 1°. Can be centred adjusted. Stage clips
Polarisers: Mounted on the bottom of the condenser with graduations every 15°
Analyser for incident/ reflected illumination rotatable through 360° with 5° graduations
The Intermediate tube has an analyser with large rotation control dial for easy adjustment and accurate reading through rotations of 180°, graduations ever 1°. Linear polariser mounted on a slide so that it can be withdrawn from the optical train.
Compensators: 1/4λ Plate, λ Plate, first order red, Quartz wedge plate, I-IV orders
Kohler Illumination: Field diaphragm for both transmitted illumination and reflected illumination
Transmitted illumination: Quartz Halogen 6V, 20W built-in power supply with rheostat control on the side of microscope just above focus controls
Reflected / incident illumination: Quartz Halogen 12V, 50W lamp house with separate power supply unit with voltmeter and rheostat.
Incident light illuminator: Kohler type, with iris and field diaphragms, daylight filter and 3 other colour filters
Conoscopic viewing: Swing-out Bertrand lens, focusable and pre-centred
Trinocular head Photo Port: c-mount with 0.5x reduction optic
